I am a certified Speech/ Drama and English teacher. I taught for three years in Richardson Independent School District. After I married, I decided to stay home and raise my two kids. That’s been my best job. I have done many hours of volunteer work while at home such as painting sets, helping with musicals, and making hundreds of homecoming mums in our school store. I have a passion for serving the poor and neglected people in our community and state. I volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank and have been many times to The Colonias in South Texas to set up libraries, feed the poor, and help with sports camps and VBS . I am a substitute teacher for a private school in Dallas, and I do collections for my husband’s business. Everyone laughs at the “bill collector” job. I am not exactly the scariest person. I attend a weekly Bible study called Bible Study Fellowship which helps me to stay grounded in what’s really important in life-my faith. I love writing and intend to publish one day. Hopefully, this blog will be my launch pad.
